RE | Follows Diocesan ‘Learning and Growing’ scheme. Much closer link to Catholic Life through social justice themes |
English | Core texts linked to theme are Power of Reading Books. Writing in all genres linked to CST theme. |
Maths | Discrete subject teaching. Follows CPA (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) Mastery approach. Teaching and Learning involve fluency, reasoning and problem solving. Units planned in line with White Rose planning overviews. |
Science, History, Geography, DT/Art, Computing, Music | National Curriculum Key Stage skills and objectives. Mapped in two year cycle to CST themes—example below. Knowledge organisers and two year map ensure progressive learning over time. |
