Class Prayer

Prayer is an important part of life at St Francis'. 

In Year 6, we ask the children to learn new prayers. The prayers they learn are the Hail Holy Queen (Salve Regina), The Prayer to the Holy Spirit,  and The Nicene Creed. We also retrain the prayers that we have already learnt. In the months of October and May we also say the prayers of the Rosary to remember Mary the Mother of God.

Dear Almighty Father,

As we embark on our journey in Year 6, please Lord, help us to work hard all the time so that we are able to pass our SATs. We ask that you help us to follow the right path by making the right choices this year. Encourage us Lord, to be more confident so that we can be successful this year like we have succeeded in previous years.

Lord, we thank you for giving us the opportunity of a good education and letting us have the right of having access to all information. We thank you, God, for keeping us safe during our summer holidays so that we have been able to come back and see our friends and teachers.

During this year, we hope that things in school we can start and continue to be good role models for the school. Please continue to guide us to make the right decisions so we always behave in the best way and set a good example for the rest of the school.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.
